Life is a Garden.

That was my phrase after coming back from a year in France being a vegetable gardener, a “market gardener”, or better still in French: maraîcher.

My allotment is my happy place. It is quite a stroll to get there (1.5 miles), but the journey and the destination are both enjoyable. It helps me transition from home (and home office) to the garden. It is my commute from daily life, to a dreamed life.

If “Life is a Garden”, what type of garden I am cultivating?

Some people describe styles by country like Japanese Garden, Italian Garden, English Garden. I would think about food producing gardens (farming) and think about permaculture, biointensive, biodynamic, etc.

I learned biointensive, and it works for me, but would like to move to permaculture (permanent culture) and even biodynamic.
